BSP helps raise Palestinian Humanitarian Fund to $1.5m

BRUNEI Shell Petroleum (BSP) handed over their donation of $70,000 to the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund during the handing over of donations ceremony yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sports.

Present to receive the donation was the guest of honour, Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Ahmad, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Handing over the donation in the form of a mock cheque to the minister was Hj Zainal Abidin Hj Mohd Ali, the Acting Managing Director of Brunei Shell Petroleum.

The BSP donation was contributed by the company, its officers and staff.

The Community Development Department representing the special committee for the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund wished to express their deepest appreciation and thanks to the public and the donors who have made their contribution to the fund over the past few months.

So far, the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund has collected a total of $1,552,627.03. (ADI1)
