THERE is good news for those who have achieved three ’0′ Levels and above who are seeking ways to further their studies as Laksamana College of Business (LCB) is now offering the internationally recognised LCCI International Qualifications programme following the closure of Brainwise Quantum Learning (BQL).
LCB recently accepted 20 students from BQL, who had been left searching since BQL’s closure and were seeking to continue their studies, for free.
The Chief Operating Officer of LCB, S Sivarajah announced yesterday in a press conference that BQL has ceased operation and their students have moved to LCB under the goodwill that has been agreed between them.
“The students at BQL used to do the LCCI programme, and they’ve moved to Laksamana to continue their studies for free,” said S Sivarajah. “That means [in the case of] any student with BQL who have paid full fees in BQL, we are not going to claim any money, and we’re doing it as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility.”
Sivarajah added that the arrangement “has been agreed by our directors.”
The programme commenced on June 22, and LCB aims to help them complete the programme by next year, when the students will sit for their exams around March or April 2010, the Chief Operating Officer said.
“They’ve been waiting for a long time so we don’t want to keep them waiting for another year or two,” he added.
LCB offers three LCCI Diplomas inAccounting, Business and Industrial Administration and in Marketing via two intakes — February and July. The duration for all three courses is only one year, with a tuition cost of $2,800 per year.
Those who wish to apply can still do so, as the last date for registration in the July intake is Saturday, July 11, 2009.
