The Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office and Department of Electrical Services jointly organised a two-day Photography Workshop to provide exposure to the participants on using the digital camera as a tool to disseminate information, news and the development of the respective organisations for public knowledge.
Attended by about 40 participants comprising officers and personnel from DES including nine from the Information Department, the two-day event began yesterday at the multipurpose hall of the DES building at the Old Airport complex.
Facilitated by the Head of Photography and Audio Visual, Department of Information, Awg Hj Yussof Hj Md Yassin, yesterday’s workshop provided basic knowledge in photography that can be used in implementing daily responsibilities such as the making of a in-house newsletter, exhibitions and department archives that need quality images as each image developed tells thousands of meanings and the message delivered to the public is more clear and credible.
The workshop, which will end today, will touch on basic photography, picture taking and selecting in both theory and practical sessions.
