The Ministry of Health has activated another H1N1 hotline number following Saturday’s publication of the Bulletin article entitled “Hotline Turns Cold.”
In addition to the current hotline number – 8220991 – the ministry has activated an extra hotline number of 7180991 as an extra measure to ensure that members of the public can reach the Ministry outside of office hours.
In a press statement issued yesterday the ministry apoligised for any inconvenience caused to the public by the temporary unavailability of the Influenza A (H1N1) hotline number 8220991.
According to the ministry, the brief disruption was caused by some technical problems on Friday, which were solved later on the same day.
The matter of the temporary unavailability of the H1N1 hotline arose last Friday when a concerned member of the public contacted the Bulletin after being unable to reach the ministry through the original hotline number to inquire about the H1N1 situation in the country.
