AROUND 20 local youths from the Brunei Adventure Recreation Association (BARA) participated in a sailing expedition accompanied by a group of sailors from abroad.

Twenty-six yachts made their way up the Brunei River from the Royal Brunei Yacht Club in Serasa and ends at Kota Batu.

Members from BARA were given the opportunity to navigate these yachts and furthermore learn more about this interesting hobby and at the same time introduce them to a new sport. The group was also given the opportunity to gain a first-hand experience about the way of life at sea and the communication tools used during sailing this giant flotilla.

Allan J Riches from Intrepid Yachting extended the invitation to allow Bruneians the opportunity to interact with the sailors.
