The Youth Association of with the cooperation of the Tutong District Office and the Tutong Islamic Religious Department held a mass prayer and dzikir tolak bala at the Hassanal Bolkiah mosque recently.
The guest of honour was Awg Hj Daud bin Hj Duraman, Chairman of the Tutong Municipal Board. The ceremony was also held to the mark this year’s National Youth Day and His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 63rd birthday celebration.
The ceremony began with a mass Maghrib prayer that was followed by a dzikir tolak bala, which was led by Imam Sahibol Omar bin Hj Yusof.
The ceremony was also aimed to encourage youths to feel spiritually closer to the mosque as a place not only for worship but also to carry out religious activities such as reading al-Quran.
