Twenty-eight officers and personnel from the Prisons Department yesterday received their promotion badges during a ceremony held at the department’s Bukit Pantai Hall. Present at the ceremony was Dato Paduka Hj Ahmad Hj Dullah, the Director of Prisons.
The 28 who were promoted include one officer promoted to the rank of Superintendent, two promoted to Assistant Superintendent, two to Chief Prison Officer, two to Prison Officer, four to Chief Warden, seven to Sergeant and 10 to Corporal.
Yesterday’s event ended with a thanksgiving prayer. Also in attendance were the Deputy Director of Prisons, Hj Abd Manan Hj Abd Rahman, senior officers, officers and other personnel from the Prisons Department.
