As usual, small time business will be mushrooming throughout the country in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.
The focal point will be the Ramdahan stalls that sell various types of dishes, food and drinks to cater for the Muslim community to break their fast. The Ramadhan stalls are not only popular among the Muslim community but other races as well – the opportunity to taste the traditional local foods and dishes.
Meanwhile, relevant authorities reminded members of the public to take extra caution when buying foods from the stalls and roadside vendors to prevent the spread of Influenza A (H1N1).
Like the pervious years, the Ramadhan stalls are one of the busiest places of business that attracts a large number of crowds. Just name it – every kind of foods and drinks and other dishes are available. What makes them more interesting to visitors are that every year there are new food menu sold at the stalls.
The Ramadhan stalls are also a popular destination among local travel agencies to bring foreign visitors to taste local food and drinks.
Ramadhan stalls are located at the parking spaces at the National Stadium in Berakas, Gadong Wet Market, Tudong Saji in Kuala Belait, Pasar Ria in Seria, Serambangun in Tutong and Pasar Anika in Pekan Bangar Temburong.
