SINGERS from neighbouring Malaysia such as Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Lawas and host country Brunei Darussalam will be showcasing their singing skills and talents at the third Chinese Karaoke Singing Competition organised by the Young Entrepreneur Council of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, BSB.
The competition will be held on September 11 at Hua Ho Manggis Mall.
The organiser said that the competition is open to public viewing. Tickets can be obtained by calling the organising committee’s co-chairman, Mr Liew Yian Choo or Wong Sing Ping at 8627187.
According to Mr Wong, the competition is being held for the third time this year and is participated by the top three winners of the singing contest held at their respective districts. The finals will be held on September 11 in Brunei at the venue stated above.
Winners stand a chance to win B$918 and a trophy as the first prize while the second place winner will receive B$618, third place B$418 and fourth place B$318.
The best dress, best performance and most favourite singers will receive $218, and $118 respectively. A prize will also be presented to the most favourite singer at the competition.
Mr Wong also revealed that a ‘Champion of Champions’ singing contest will be held at the end of the event and is open to all previous winners (champions) of past competitions.
The overall champion at the contest will receive a cash prize of $1,111, a trophy and return air-tickets to Singapore.
