About 160 villagers turned up to nominate the new village leader of Kg Lepong Baru, Mukim Bokok in Temburong, at the Semabat Primary School hall.
Ambol Anak Bakit, 48, was the sole candidate for the post.
Also present were Temburong District Officer, Awg Metusin bin Orang Kaya Sura Hj Tuba, Assistant Temburong District Officer, Pg Mohd Amirrizal, as well as officers and staff of the District Office, leaders and residents of other villages.
Awg Metusin said matters relating to the village should be brought to the attention of the village leaders.
