Members from the the Mukim Kota Batu Consultative Council along with the villages under the Mukim Kota Batu yesterday held a tahlil recital for the late Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit at the Royal Mausoleum in Jln Batu Satu.
Attending the event were Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Religious Affairs in his capacity as the advisor for the Mukim Kota Batu Consultative Council.
Also present at the recital were other advisors for the Village Consultative Council under the Mukim Kota Batu, Acting Penghulu of Mukim Kota Batu, Awg Hj Mohd Daud bin Karim, other village heads, and residents of Kota Batu.
The ceremony started with the recital of surah al-fatihah followed by surah yassin, tahlil and doa led by Begawan Pehin Khatib Awg Hj Hamidon bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Hj Abd Hamid.
The event is an annual activity of the Mukim Kota Batu Consultative Council during the month of Ramadhan.
