A stepping stone for working students at Cosmopolitan college

Borneo Bulletin Writer Sep 12th, 2009 .

COSMOPOLITAN College of Commerce & Technology has been offering the LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce & Industry) programme since 2005. This diploma course provides an alternative pathway to Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HIND) for individuals who do not have A-levels.
Instead of sitting for six or more subjects for the A-level exams, LCCI only requires students to take three subjects, namely: English for Business, Marketing, and Business Administration.

A former student, Adeebah Norolhedayah binti Haji Abdul Hamid, says, “LCCI has enabled me to take my HNC, even without my A-levels. Now that I have finished my HNC, I’m preparing myself to study in a prestigious university in UK.”

Another student, Hafiz Bin Hj Sulaiman said, “Completing the LCCI has helped me proceed to HND in Computing.”

The programme is especially designed for working students and working parents who wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge while busy with their family responsibilities.

“Right after my. LCCI, I was able to advance to HNC while working and taking care of my two children,” says Farizalin binti Bujang, a mother of two and a bank employee.

Unlike other school, the Cosmopolitan College- LCCI course can be easily completed in as short as 10 months. The three-day a week schedule at night is good for working students, especially working parents.
Aside from LCCI, Cosmopolitan College also offers PND, ND, HNC, and HND. These programmes specifically cater to the needs of the working class.

Cosmopolitan College is constantly striving to provide innovative offerings and fresh teaching methods, which will assist students in furthering their career opportunities, both locally and overseas.
