Borneo Bulletin Writer Sep 17th, 2009 .

THE manager for Channel Support and Informatics Singapore Representative, Faridah binti Ya’acob, arrived in Brunei for a three-day working visit to Cosmopolitan College. Together with CCCT, she paid a visit to the Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (B DNAC) to discuss how the council and both institutions can ensure commitment towards quality teaching, assessment, and learning.

Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology has been offering informatics programmes since 2005. The college has brought together Information Technology and Business courses in response to Brunei’s demand for IT skilled and business-oriented workers.

Informatics Programmes have opened a whole new world of possibilities for students, allowing them to explore their studies further.

Foo Chuan Kim, a former student of CCCT, has completed her Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Accounting and Finance at an esteemed university in the UK. She says, “I feel proud and overjoyed to have accomplished something great for myself. Now that I’m back in Brunei, I want to be able to share my knowledge and apply my skills.”

Brunei’s education system is currently making big strides with the integration of ICT in teaching and learning. In commitment to the country’s philosophy of education, Cosmopolitan College is continuously pursuing developments in teaching strategies and learning methods to better enchance their courses.

Aside from informatics, Cosmopolitan College also offers PND, LCCI, and HND. These programmes specifically cater to the needs of the working class. For programme information, you may contact the college at 265-1245.
