HAVING a hobby in collecting old artifacts, historical images, literature magazines, paper artifacts, keris and portraits, Cikgu Hj Mohd Arshad bin Said was a teacher who began his collections since the 1960s.
It has always been a dream of his to have a mini museum next to his residence to exhibit these valuable items.
His dream finally came true when the building was completed and he now stores his collections in Hajma Mini Museum’.
Cikgu Hj Mohd Arshad built a colourful garden around his mini museum, decorated with `Gasing’, a mini waterfall and a fish pond.
He hopes his collections will be useful to his family and to the general public particularly in educating the younger generation.
Also well-known for his talent in flying kites, Cikgu Hj Mohd Arshad has represented the Brunei contingent in competitions held in Malaysia and Indonesia previously.
