Brunei’s kite enthusiasts have been reminded not to fly kites near airports or helipads so as not to jeopardise flight safety.
The warning was issued by the Civil Aviation department to ensure that all flight operations in the country run smoothly and securely. Kites and kite strings can jeopardise the flight safety and capability of aeroplanes and helicopters. According to the Civil Aviation Department, anyone who commits an offence can be fined up to $3,000.
