THE head of Pandan ‘B’ village, Haji Malek Abu Bakar, received a working visit from RBPF Kuala Belait officers in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations. The visit was led by the Commanding Officer of Belait Royal Brunei Police Force, Haji Mohamed Don bin Haji Harith.
During the visit, the delegation exchanged ideas on how to maintain security and maintain peace in the village. The residents of the village also expressed their thoughts and suggestions towards preventing unhealthy activities from occurring in their village.
According to Haji Mohamed Don, the RBPF currently patrols around the kampung in Kuala Belait during the day and night to ensure the safety of the village and surrounding areas.
He also called for the relevant authorities to provide them with a control room at the Kampung Pandan community hall for police personnel, as there is no control post in the area.
The visit also aimed to strengthen ties among the RBPF and residents of the area as well as to encourage the residents to cooperate with the RBPF to minimise the number of criminal cases in the area.
