RAINFOREST Gallery will be presenting the Mandala exhibition from October 23 to November 8.
Held by Robyn Fields, the expo aims to serve as a constant reminder of the need for peace and to promote art education in Brunei.
Mandala is a Sanskrit word for ‘circle’ or ‘healing circle,’ which encompasses inner peace and harmony.
Mandala art involves forming a circle written on special mandala paper with positive words on it. The words are usually written starting from the middle of the circle, continuing in a spiral until it reaches the circle’s edge.
This form of art can be done by people of all ages and can be written in all kinds of languages as long as it carries positive and constructive words. Some Mandala artwork have drawings on it and contains colourful words.
Mandala art is centred around peace that allows people to express their inner thoughts and feelings.
Rainforest Gallery is located at Block B, Units 8-9, 1st floor, Shakirin Complex in Kiulap. For more information call 2239325.
