SIXTY-four students comprising 38 boys and 26 girls, of which three boys and four girls were under the age of 10, took part in a Khatam al-Quran at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Religious School, Kampong Saba.
The guest of honour was Ustaz Haji Talip bin Haji Ibrahim, Islamic Studies Officer, Brunei Area 1.
The event began with a mass surah al-fatihah recital headed by the guest of honour. It was followed by a takhtim and doa takhtim reading by Md Fadillah bin Metassan.
A dikir Ashrakal was performed followed with a sprinkling of scented flowers by parents.
The guest of honour then presented certificates to students who participated in the ceremony and the event ended with a doa selamat read by Cikgu Md Amirul Azim bin Haji Omar.
