STANDARD Chartered Bank honoured and appreciated all staff at the bank’s 2009 annual staff dinner held recently at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom, The Empire Hotel & Country Club.
The event was well attended by staff members who all came dressed up to the theme, “Mad Hat” for the evening.
The bank’s CEO Danny Quah in his speech thanked the staff for their continuous support and hard work for the bank throughout the year and highlighted various accomplishments including winning the
“Best Retail Bank in Brunei” in the 2008 Asian Banker awards.
. “All our achievements would not have been possible without the hard work of everyone at the bank.
“It is important that we contribute to the values of the bank.
“I look forward to building on what has been achieved and to continue to be one of the leading financial service providers in Brunei,” said Danny Quah.
One of the key highlights of the programme was the presentation of Long Service Awards where a total of 43 staff members who have served the bank for a total of five, 10 and 25 years were honoured with special awards respectively.
Other highlights at the annual dinner included a dance performance from the staff, local live band performance, games, lucky draws, best-dressed award and the best mad hat award.
