One of the oldest declared nature reserves in Bandar Seri Begawan’s interior precincts, Tasek Lama Recreational Park is a pocket of rainforest which is just a 15-minute stroll from the Lapau. It has an excellent trail that leads to a natural waterfall and lake, and an 8 meters wall for wannabe climbers. With its green nature all preserved, it is a perfect haven for jungle trekking enthusiasts, outdoor fitness or those simply longing for jogging.
The Tasek Lama Recreational Park is infact a water reservoir that supplies water to nearly half of the state. Due to its strategic location and the geographical features, the area is now turned into a park for the public and tourists to enjoy. With its recent upgrading, thanks to the tourism board campaign to promote eco-tourism in the country, the park was given a major facial uplift that is comparable to any other recreational parks found in other countries.
