IN AN EFFORT to show support and commitment of all parties involved in giving back to the community, IA Salon organised a one-day fundraising event dubbed the Charity Hair Services campaign for the Learning Ladders Society.
It was held to mark the salon’s fifth anniversary this year. Throughout the programme, IA Salon provided hair services to customers and members of the public.
Visitors had an opportunity to go on a motorbike ride around The Mall and customers voluntarily donated money to the salon for this cause during the activity. Some 50 bikers from Pemoda, Harley Owners Group Brunei Chapter (HOGB) and Sport Bikers also took part during this fundraiser.
Radio station Pelangi FM provided a live broadcast network of the programme from the venue, while Pilihan FM provided the announcement. Shariff Auto Services also lent a motorbike for display and for donors to take a photo opportunity in front of the salon.
A cheque presentation was held at the end of the event, after IA Salon successfully collected $8094.60 from the campaign.
All the proceeds will be donated to the society, whereby it will be used to support the welfare and improve the centre’s facilities.
