FOUR representatives from Brunei —leader Hj Abd Hakim Hj Md Yassin, secretary Hj Abd Samad Hj Abd Rahman, Hj Masni Hj Md Hussin, Hj Lamudin Hj Jafar — recently attended the Fourth International Kite Festival in Shenzhen, China, Oct 24-26, held at Dameisha Seashore Park Beach.
The invited countries from Asean were Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam with the exception of Singapore and Philippines. Other invited countries outside Asean were Australia, Japan, India, South Korea, USA, UK and New Zealand.
After the festival the delegates were taken to places of interest — Yantin, Dameisha Seashore Park Sea World, Zhung Ying Street and Coastal Cruise World.
Before their departure to China, the secretary thanked the ministries and departments involved for the advice. Some photos, posters and promotional material were taken to China to promote Brunei Darussalam.
