Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Salleh Ab-Rahaman, was among 140 recipients of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Book Prizes. Her Royal Highness, consented to receive the year three book, in the Bachelor of Arts Public Policy and Administration program, at UBD’s Silver Award and Book Prize presentation ceremony last night. The function was held at the Jerudong Polo and Country Club.
UBD’s Vice Chancellor, Doctor Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi in his address, stated that recipients are high achievers, and bear the responsibility to extend their talents outside the lecture class and contribute to the community, race and nation in particular, and the world in general.
The awards and prizes were presented by the Minister of Health, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Suyoi. Fourteen high achieving graduates received the University’s Silver Award for being the best in their study programmes as well as for being actively involved in sports, welfare, religious and community services.
123 UBD undergraduates received the UBD Book prize for excellence in various programmes. Among them, was Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah. Three received the Award of Achievements and another 10 received the BLNG Excellence Award. The silver award is presented yearly to graduates. The book prize is awarded every semester, to the highest exam scorers.
The Silver Award and Book Prize Presentation Ceremony was held in conjunction with UBD’s 21st Convocation.
