THE Indonesia Earthquake and Philippines Typhoon Victims Humanitarian Fund yesterday received $12,000 in donation from Boustead Sdn Bhd during a ceremony at the Beribi Showroom.
The money was raised from the successful family day last Sunday where Boustead gave out free spaces at its premise to all participating vendors. In return, the vendors contributed revenues derived from their sales during the whole day event to the Boustead charity fund. In addition, Boustead also made its own contributions through tickets and merchandise sales.
During last Sunday’s event, the participating vendors that contributed to the fund raising drive were Ptelink, iSka, VZ, Ferre cakehouse, Golden King, Kitchen of Jasmine, Ztech, Shopilicious Zone, Ayamku, Great Perfect Solution Enterprise, tasty Dots Enterprise, Nails and Wax, Olive Trees, Kleen Tech Marketing Service, Multiron, Satinni Marketing, Daiecharm Decor, Shikai Restaurant, Current Newspaper Agency, ANHE and Adison Marketing. Other charitable sponsorships came from financial institutions such as Baiduri Bank, BIBD, HSBC and TAIB as well as the general public.
During the ceremony, Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai, the Managing Director of Boustead Sdn Bhd, presented the mock cheque oto Hj Rosmadee Bin Hj Md Daud, the Assistant Director of Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
After the presentation of the mock cheque, Boustead presented certificates of appreciation to all vendors and banks who had supported as well as made the Boustead Family Day 2009 a success.
