BRUNEI Darussalam’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) shared its expertise with five senior officers from the Malaysian national anti-drugs agency, AADK, who were in the country as part of a working visit to learn more about best practices in the field of drug enforcement.
According to AADK’s Principal Assistant Director (Enforcement), Encik Zainuddin Abdullah, the officers from Brunei’s NCB have been very cooperative throughout their 20-day job attachment programme, in which they were assigned to temporarily work at NCB’s Enforcement and Intelligence, as well as the Al-Islah Rehabilitation Centre.
One of the main objectives of this exchange programme was to enable officers from the Malaysian national anti-drugs agency to gain experience by working closely with their counterparts here in Brunei.
The AADK stands to gain a lot from this programme, as their enforcement section is still new.
Touching on the rehabilitation centre in the Sultanate, Encik Zainuddin Abdullah said that the NCB is doing a good job in operating the centre considering that the field is quite new.
