SENSATIONAL QAF FC striker Adie Arsham ,Muhd Salleh scored twice in helping his team thrash AM Gunners FC 5-0 in the first semi-final of the DST Group Brunei League Cup at the Berakas Sports Complex last night. ‘
Three other goals scored by Md Mardi Mirza Bujang Abdullah, his twin brother Hardi Bujang and Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman secured the defending League Cup champion’s participation in the fmal match.

“I feel very satisfied with the win although we did not play that well in the first 45 minutes when we only managed to score one goal after missing lots of chances,” said Rahim Hj Daud, the QAF FC manager.

With the win last night and having secured a spot in the final, Rahim is confident that his team can beat any opponent in the final, either MS ABDB or AH United FC, which will be playing in the second semi-final match tonight to fight for their pride trophy.

“We are prepared for the final match. Hope my players will once again show their ability and performances to face any of the two teams in the final,” Rahim said.

QAF FC opened the floodgates as early as the 12th minute through a goal scored by Md Mardi Mirza Bujang Abdullah who easily p beat AM Gunners FC goalie Abi Yazid Awg Yussof with a header from Ak Md Kamarul Ariffin Pg Ramlee’s corner-kick.

QAF FC coached by Brunei’s former national player Ali Hj Mustafa had several chances to add more goals but failed to do so as the AM Gunners FC defenders were a tough nut to crack.

However, QAF FC chances to score their second goal came a few minutes before the half-time whistle.

QAF FC’s Md Hendra Azam Mohd Idris’s cross from the right was well controlled by Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman in front ofAM Gunner’s FC goal-mouth who later produced a spectacular shot. But the in-form AM Gunner’s FC goalkeeper Abi Yazid managed to saved the ball to deny QAF FC’s a two-goal cushion before the whistle.

Seven minutes after the breather, Adie Arsham scored his first of the night with a beautiful header in the 52nd minute from Md Hendra Azam’s cross from the right flank before scoring his second two minutes later to make the scoreline 3-0.

QAF FC’s third goal scored by Adie Arsham’s second resulted from a counter attack. Ak Md Kamarul Ariffin, who helped Md Mardi to scored QAF FC’s first goal, did it again but this time through a cross after he -managed to dribble the AM Gunner’s FC players. He managed to cross the ball to Adie Arsham who later easily headed the ball past the AM Gunner’s FC goalie.

And in the 70th minute, QAF FC scored their fourth goal of the night through Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman before former Brunei DPMM FC midfield player Hardi Bujang scored the fifth in the 75th minute from Ak Md Kamarul Ariffin’s corner kick.
