Brunei Darussalam contingent at the 3rd ASIAN INDOOR GAMES in Vietnam has collected one silver medal and six bronze medals. The medals were won through billiard, Pencak Silat and Wushu. The contingent comprised of 24 athletes, managers, coaches and officers returned home last night.
Their arrival was welcomed by the Permanent Secretary at the Minsitry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dato Paduka Haji Jemat bin Hj Ampal. The silver medal was won in the pencak silat event for regu category by Norleyeharyanti Hj Raya, Nurul Aini Amalina Zanidi and Norleyermah Hj Raya. 5 bronze medals were won by Hj Mohd Khairul Bahrin Hj Duraman in the single men category, Pengiran Khairul Bahri Pg Ali Umar in the Class F, Khuzaiman Ahmad in Class D, Freedy Ashrol Choo in Class G and Siti Zuliza binti Omar in Class C women category. Wushu event contributed a bronze medal through Faustina Woo Wai Sii and Lee Ying Shi in Dulian women category.
