LOCAL car dealer TCY Motors Sdn Bhd yesterday held a press launch for the new Audi A5 at Chill’s Café at The Mall in Gadong, turning the heads of passers-by and stealing the hearts of sports coupe lovers.

According to a press release from Audi, the new AS signifies the fulfillment of the German caretaker’s pledge to fully provide its own answers to the most important questions and the biggest challenges in car manufacturing.

The brand has long been associated with performance in technology and design.

With the Audi A5, Audi also hopes to project its claim into a new market segment and pave the way for an entirely new driving experience.

As a sports coupe of strong character in a new market segment, the design of the Audi AS interprets sporty elegance in a new way.
Characteristic features include the 3.2 FSI Quattro Tiptronic engine, a wide track and short body overhangs, Audi Drive Select, Audi’s signature Quattro driveline system and six-speed manual transmission.

The A5 bursts from standstill to 100kmh in 6.1 seconds,

Maximum output of 195kW is achieved at 6,500rpm. TCY Motors has already sold quite a number of units of the A5, making it one of the fastest selling models without a pre-launch marketing campaign.
