UBD is inviting members of the public to come to the UniBridge Open Day starting on Saturday Nov 21 between 8.30am and 4.30pm as well as on Sunday Nov 22 between 9am and 12noon. The event will be held in the Institute of Leadership, Innovation and Advancement (ILIA) building.
The purpose of the event is to promote the newly launched UniBridge programme, which offers candidates (pre-service and mature) who cannot fulfil the entry requirements to UBD undergraduate degree courses an alternative entry route.
According to a press release from UBD, the programme will provide candidates with specially designed modules related to the academic field they intend to study at the undergraduate level and also provide them with a range of study and communication skills to help them succeed in their undergraduate studies.
Upon the successful completion of UniBridge (subject to fulfilling the requirements of faculties), candidates are able to apply for admission to UBD’s GenNext undergraduate degrees. Admission into the UniBridge programme is competitive and limited, subject to the availability of spaces.
The first intake of UniBridge event will commence in January 2010 and currently admission to this programme is still open. The Open Day will provide opportunities for interested members of the public to learn more of this event.
