Combating climate change with cleaning programme

Sungai Kebun Primary School yesterday hosted a cleaning programme with the Australian Embassy.

Apart from the host, the event, themed “Communities Uniting to Combat Climate Change”, was also joined by Serasa Primary School, Awang Semaun Secondary School and Maktab Sains.

Present as the guest of honour was Acting Senior Education Officer Cikgu Nudin bin Haji Mohammad, who officiated the launch of the programme.

Sungai Kebun Primary School headmistress Cikgu Salinawati bte Mohd Zainal, in a speech, raised the importance of taking care of the environment for the sake of all humanity.

Later, the guest of honour presented prizes and certificates of appreciation to students who were involving in the cleaning programme with the Australian Embassy.
