A presentation ceremony for the “Mushaf Brunei Darussalam dan Terjemahannya Juz 1-3″ or Mushaf Brunei Darussalam and its Translations Juz 1-3 was held yesterday at the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The guest of honour was the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Dr Haji Mohd Zain bin Haji Serudin.
Some 5,000 copies of Mushaf Brunei Darussalam and its Translations Juz 1-3 were published on Sept 4.
After the recital of holy verses from the Quran, Hajah Hasnah binti Haji Omar, Acting Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, delivered a welcoming speech.
“In this ceremony, some of the Mushaf Brunei Darussalam and its translations are being given to Seri Begawan Religious Teachers College University (KUPUSB), Institut Tahfiz al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, three Arabic secondary schools, four Arabic preparatory schools, 13 Brunei I religious schools, 30 Brunei II religious schools, 26 Brunei III religious schools, 13 Brunei IV religious schools, 32 religious schools in Tutong, 20 religious schools in Kuala Belait and 12 religious schools in Temburong.”
“It is His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s wish that the publication of this local version will make it easier for Muslims in this country to understand the contents of the Quran and also appreciate and make it a guide for achieving a peaceful life here and in the afterlife.
“Because of this, it is expected that all of today’s Mushaf recipients make full use of them correctly and make it a reference for studies in your institutions and schools,” she added.
The ceremony closed with a doa selamat.
