THE final match of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Sepak Takraw Tournament was held yesterday at the Royal Brunei Navy gymnasium, according to a press release received.

This year two categories – Team and Inter-Regu —were contested. Five teams from the main units of RBAF participated – Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Royal Brunei Air Force (TUDB), Training Institute RBAF (TI RAF) and Special Force Regiment (SFR).

In the Inter-Regu category, RBLF were champion after beating SFR 2-0 while in third place were RBN.
RBLF also won the Team category beating TI RBAF 3-0 while in third place were RBN.

The guest-of-honour, Commander of RBAF, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, presented the championship trophy and prizes to the winners and referees.

Also present at the final were Services Commanders and Commandants, Directors and personnel of RBAF.
