A REHEARSAL on the forthcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha and the highly commended sacrificial ceremony of Brunei Darussalam was held at Jame `Asr Hassanil Bolkiah yesterday morning.
A briefing was delivered by Pengiran Seri Wijaya Pengiran Haji Ahmad bin Pengiran Mohd Yusof, the Assistant Senior Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara.
Also in attendance were the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Md Zain, Deputy Minister, Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Religious Affairs, officials from various departments and sections from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Only selected members of the public will be collecting the sacrificial meat from His Majesty.
One of the coordinate Committee members will be assigned at Mulaut Abattoir Sdn Bhd in Jalan Mulaut-Kilanas to monitor the slaughtering of 46 cattle and the rest of the goats which will then be distributed for donation to the poor and needy in the Sultanate.
His Majesty donated 46 cattles and 14 goats this year.
