HSBC, in an effort to meet customers’ growing needs, recently refurbished its branch in Kiulap, the first of HSBC’s 10 branches to undergo a transformation.
Yesterday, the refurbished branch located at Shakirin Complex Kiulap, was officially reopened.
Present to officiate the event was Deputy Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Finance, Hj Mohd Rosli Hj Sabtu.
Among those in attendance were CEO HSBC Brunei, Tareq Muhmood, Deputy CEO and Head of Personal Financial Services Rosdi Amin Yaakub, government officers, senior managers of HSBC as well as the bank’s customers.
Tareq Muhmood said that the branch is strategically situated in a fast-growing commercial area and since its opening in 2000, there have been numerous developments and the area has continued to prosper with strong patronage from local consumers.
“Given that our customer base has grown rapidly, the size and design of the previous branch could no longer accommodate the growing demand of our customers,” he said, adding that the newly-refurbished branch showcases the latest global branch and Express Banking Centre design in line with the bank’s strategy.
This, he said, is to ensure that customers visiting an HSBC branch anywhere worldwide would receive a consistent experience and thus is the bank’s ongoing commitment to provide customers with a world-class service.
Remaining branches will also undergo a refurbishment within the next three years that will provide better ambience and comfort to customers while performing their transactions where the Relationship Managers and Personal Bankers are now placed in more accessible booths when meeting customers, thus providing privacy to discuss financial needs.
