MORE than 50 participants auditioned for Brunei’s first reality singing show ‘Passport to Fame’ (P2F) which is now currently in its third season to help young aspirants pursue their singing dreams.

The first audition to scout for young singing talents took place yesterday at RTB Studio in Kuala Belait and will continue today and tomorrow at RTB Sungai Akar in Bandar Seri Begawan. The audition received an overwhelming response from the public who came to earn the golden ticket to the next step of the competition.

The event coordinator said they are giving away golden tickets to over 100 participants with potential singing talents during the auditions until the elimination round next week where only the best 40 singers will be chosen.

From the selected 40, only 16 or 12 contestants will be picked for the live concerts expected to take place beginning March next year.

Contestants selected to perform in the live concerts will be provided with vocal training, dance lessons and will be groomed to speak confidently in public.

Present as critics and judges to determine the fate of the contestants at the audition in KB were Hans Anuar, Joe M and Summer Ho.

The singing competition is open to Bruneian citizens and permanent residents from age 16 — 32 years old. Organised by Green City Concept in affiliation with RTB, the champion will walk away with a Toyota Avanza, $3,000 cash while the first and second runner up will win cash prizes of $2,000 and $1,000 respectively.
All video footages from the auditions and preliminary rounds will be telecast on RTB2 from February next year onwards and the reruns will be broadcast on RTB4 for international viewers.
