Their Royal Highnesses in Laos for 25th SEA Games

2963_1His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman this afternoon arrived in Vientiane, Laos. Their Royal Highnesses arrived at the Wattay International Airport at about 1.40 yesterday afternoon. His Royal Highness is in Laos to compete in the 25th SEA Games that will kick off on Wednesday until December the 18th. Accompanying their Royal Highnesses is Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Muntaqim.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri were welcomed at Wattay International Airport by Laos Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Phongsavath Boupha who is also Chairman of the Reception Committee and Protocol for the 25th SEA Games. Brunei Darussalam’s Ambasador to Laos, His Excellency Pengiran Kasmirhan bin Pengiran Haji Tahir was also present. Accompanying His Royal Highness the Crown Prince is Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince will take part in the 9-Ball Pool Men’s Doubles and Individual Cue Sports. In the Doubles, His Royal Highness will pair up with Teo Chee Soon. The Cue Sports take place at the Convention Hall DonChan Palace Hotel. The Doubles event will take place on December 10th and 12th. Meanwhile, Individuals takes place on the 15th and 16th December. Cue Sports are one of the 7 events which Brunei participates in for the 25th SEA Games in Laos. Other events are Karatedo, Pencak Silat, Athletics, Sepak Takraw, Taekwando and Wushu. Brunei Darussalam is sending 29 athletes to the Games.
