SOME 32 officers from the Laboratory Services Department and Public Service Institute (IPA) completed a three-day Fire Marshall and Fire Basic Training Course yesterday. A certificate presentation ceremony was held at the Fire and Resuce Training Centre, Fire and Rescue in Berakas.
The Assistant Director of Staff Planning and Training, Hjh Siti Mayang binti Haji Hussin in her speech said, “The three-day course conducted by Fire and Rescue, Public Relation Unit gave the participants the opportunity to learn about the department’s duty and services to the public as well as trained in fire prevention, types of fire equipment used, fire classes, and actions taken in cases of fire and how to evacuated the building when on fire.”
The three-day course has trained the participants hdw to handle matters mentally and physically. It is important for fire marshals to be mentally and physically strong in order to be quick in action before help arrives.
The Assistant Director also hoped the participants would play a role in imparting the knowledge gained from the course and share their experiences with colleagues and family.
Also present at the event were Acting Director of Laboratory Service Department, Ministry of Health, Dayang Hajah Rosni and Senior Special Duties Officer and Acting Director of Pubic Service Institute, Dayang Linda Aini binti Abdullah.
