HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Al Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office partnering Teo Chee Soon took part in the quarterfinals of the men’s 9-ball pool doubles event at the 25th SEA Games in Vientiane, Laos, yesterday.
Present to witness the exciting match-up at the Don Chan Palace Hotel was Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah.
During the quarterfinals, HRH the Crown Prince and Teo faced Vietnam’s pair of Luong Chi Dung and Do Hoang Quan. The Vietnamese duo won the match.
In addition to Brunei Darussalam, teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and host Laos are taking part in the event.
Following the doubles event, HRH the Crown Prince will again be in action in the men’s 9-ball singles event on Tuesday, Dec 15 against Phopadid Vongsombun, from the host country Laos.
Accompanying HRH the Crown Prince is Prince Abdul Qawi.
Present to welcome HRH the Crown Prince and Prince Abdul Qawi were Pehin Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Hj Ahmad bin Hj Jumat, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Pengiran Kasmirhan bin Pengiran Hj Mohd Tahir, the Brunei Ambassador to Laos.
