UNIVERSITI Brunei Darussalam will be holding a public lecture entitled ‘Mathematical activity with innovation of technology in Japan: Twentieth century world mathematical education reforms’ on December 14 at 2.30pm.
The lecture will take place at the Senate room and will be delivered by the director of the Japan society of Mathemical Education and National projects for educational cooperation, Associate Professor Masami Isoda.
The lecture puts a focus on 201h century world reform movements of mathematics education from the viewpoint of technological innovation.
It also illustrates the Japanese experience of mathematics education from the viewpoint of mathematical activity and technology, and presents ideas and perspectives of mathematicians for the necessary incorporation of technology in mathematics education in this century.
