HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to name the monarch’s new granddaughter.

By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’ izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Grand Chamberlain is pleased to inform that His Majesty has consented to bestow the name of the new daughter of Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa’ adatul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim bin Pengiran Indera Mahkota Pengiran Anak (Dr) Kemaludin Al-Haj – Her Royal Highness Raqeeqah Raayatul Bolqiah binti Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim.
His Majesty along with other members of the royal family would like to thank all who were involved in the princess’s delivery, as well as to all those who have sent their congratulatory messages following the birth of the His Majesty’s granddaughter on December 16, 2009, corresponding to 28 Zulhijjah, 1430.
