THE Middle East Food Festival was launched yesterday at Seasons Restaurant.
The festival runs from December 28 until January I, 2010.
The festival was officiated by Awg Hj Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Awg Hj Mohd Taha, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications and Chairman of Royal Brunei Catering.
It was witnessed by Mr Mohammad J A Hashim, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam and RBC General Manager Haji Omar Ali bin Haji Mohd Daud.
During the festival, buffet lunch is available daily from 12noon to 2.30pm at $26 for an adult and $16 for a child. Buffet dinner is available daily from 7pm to 10.30pm at $36 for an adult and $20 for a child. Only dinners will be available on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Two experienced chefs are in charge of preparing the various Middle Eastern delicacies, including Mandi Laham, Lamb Brayani, Lamb Kabsah, Kofta, Shish Kebab, Hummus, Baby Ghnnouj, Cous-Cous, Basbousa, Semolina cake and Baklava.
During the promotional period, all dine-in customers are entitled to win prizes.
There will also be special cooking classes for Baiduri Card members.
Baiduri Card members are entitled to special discounts during the promotional period for the buffet dinner. Platinum/Infinite card members will get 30 per cent discount, 20 per cent for Gold and 10 per cent for Classic. For reservations, contact 2430185/2430186.
Also present during the launch were representatives from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, sponsors of the promotion and RBC management.
