THE non-stop downpour since midnight Saturday caused several lowland areas in Belait District to experience flash floods and a few main roads heading towards the town were covered with rainwater.
A pick-up hit the drainage along the flooded road at the roundabout yesterday morning near the Jalan Maulana junction heading towards KB.
No other cars were passing the road during the mishap. The driver was unhurt.
A survey found that the drainage system in the area was possibly blocked, which trapped the rainwater on the road.
