SETIA Ali Mosque Takmir Committee in Muara Town organised its first workshop for youths at its premises recently.
A total of 30 people participated in the workshop from age eight to 20 years.
Religious lectures delivered by the imam, Pegiran Haji Rusman bin Pengiran Haji Shah Budin, as well as recreation activities were some of the programmes conducted during the workshop.
Pengiran Haji Muhammad bin Pengiran Haji Othman, Head of Kampong Pekan Lama, Pekan Muara, Sabun and Pelompong was the guest of honour during the official opening ceremony while the closing event was headed by Ustaz Haji Md Suhaili bin Hj Md Noor, Mosque Affairs Officer, Brunei-Muara District.
The objective of the workshop was to make the mosque as a source of reference and the best place to provide peace and opportunities for young people involved in mosque activities.
