CAIRO, Jan 16 (NNN-KUNA) — An Egyptian official has described the participation of the State of Kuwait at the Cairo International Book Fair as the “cornerstone” over the past 40 years, adding that the Kuwaiti wing is always full of “discreet and distinguished publications”.
Chairman of the Egyptian Public Authority for Book and National Archives Dr. Mohamed Saber Arab said in an interview with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Kuwait Participates in the 42nd round of the Cairo INternational Book Fair, which will start on January 28, with a multi-cultural activities in addition to a number of Arab and foreign countries.
Arab extolled Kuwait’s role in the service of Arab culture through its successful cultural and various media publications, in addition to the scientific series, which are characterized by the excellent thought, hailing Kuwait’s support of Arab cultural programs in general.
He stressed that the Kuwaiti culture is a “cutting edge” in the Arab cultural work, praising Kuwait’s support for the ongoing Arab and Islamic culture and its commitment to honor the innovators in various fields, particularly the cultural and literary ones.
He praised in this context the cultural relations between Egypt and Kuwait since the early sixties of the last century, noting that the Kuwaiti cultural institutions and its diversified publications represented a “case of a permanent dialogue” in universities, schools, and the Egyptian press institutions as well as scientific and technical work in general.
He said that 31 countries including 16 Arab states and 15 foreign countries will participate in the Fair. — NNN-KUNA
