THE Pertiwi Association yesterday marked the Hijrah 1431 New Year – attended by more than 50 of its members at the Jame Asr’ Hassanil Bolkiah in Kiarong. The function’s guest of honour was the spouse of the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pg Hjh Johana Pg Hj Zainal.
The ceremony started with a recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah led by Ustazah Hjh Norliha Hj Mohd Noor, followed by a Tausyeh presentation. A special lecture was then delivered by Ustazah Hjh Rogayah Begawan Pehin Dato Paduka Hj Abd Wahid. The Hijrah celebration was part of Pertiwi’s activities for the year, aimed at fostering closer relationships between its members.
