MAPUTO, Jan 17 (NNN-Prensa Latina): President of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza, has confirmed that over the next five-year term social combat poverty and other problems to solve in this African country.
?Poverty is endemic. We considered unbeatable and give up, or decide to fight it with determination and effectiveness, ? he said.
Guebuza, who in the presidential elections last October 28 was re-elected with 75.1 percent of the vote, called on the opposition put aside differences and work together for the progress of the country.
Two days ago, took office in ceremony at the Plaza de la Independencia, which was attended by Heads of State and Government from different countries.
In his campaign, Guebuza, president of the ruling Mozambique Liberation Front, pledged to implement in the country social programs to benefit the population and increase budgets in the education and public health.
