THE Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) dominated the overall Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Half Marathon Championship 2010 championship this year for the Catergory 1 which is the team event for 21 km. Second place went to the Special Force Regiment (SFR). Third place went to the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
The marathon, organised by the RBN began this morning from Tutong Camp and ended at Training Institute RBAF (TI TBAF) Penanjong Garrison Stadium. This morning’s championship saw five units compete. They were the RBLF, RBN, Royal Brunei Air Force (TUDB), TI RBAF and Special Force Regiment (SFR).
The Half Marathon event also saw a Fun Run of Catergory 2 for Officers Above 40 years old, Officers 35-39 years old, Senior Rates Above 40 years old and Senior Rates 35-39 years old for the 10 km distant.
The trophies were presented by the Commander of RBLF, Colonel Haji Yussof bin Haji Abd Rahman to the winning athletes.
The tournament aimed to scout for new talents and choose the best runners to represent RBAF to compete in the .ministerial and national level
