PREPARATIONS for the country’s 26th National Day celebrations, which fall on February 23, 2010, are currently on-going at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien and at the surrounding areas of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
Like previous years, the ceremony to raise the large national flag will be held at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, followed by the raising of the national flags in other districts.
Apart from setting up special tents, seating areas are also coming up around Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar All Saifuddien for the upcoming celebrations.
The celebration’s theme for this year’s National Day is ‘Negaraku Brunei Darussalam’ and the meaning behind the chosen theme is to instil a feeling of patriotism towards the country as well as to understand that Negara Brunei Darussalam is our country.
