THE International Workshop on Energy and Materials for Sustainable Development aims to explore research collaboration areas and draw up future action plans of research groups.
Held at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam, the two-day workshop marked the inaugural activity of research clusters programme initiated by the Vice-Chancellor’s (Research & Innovation) office which was aimed at bringing researchers with similar interests together.
Nine guest speakers from Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Sabah (Malaysia) and Australia gathered in Brunei to deliver their talks.
Among the topics include “Anodic Titania Nano — Tube Arrays for Application in Dye Sensitised Solar Cells delivered by Professor Sam Zhang from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University and “Electrochemically Anodised Titania and its Applications in Solar Energy Harvesting and Energy Storage” presented by Professor Huang Haitao from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
