IN conjunction with the promotion of the Red Bull Rookies Driver Search in Brunei, the organisers have arranged the `Longest Breath’ contest at their booth at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the International Convention Centre (ICC) during the Consumer Fair Part 5.
Prizes such as iPhone 3GS, Philips 32″ TV, Dell Mini 10 notebook, Nintendo Wii and Nokia X3 will be given away to the winners.
Red Bull Malaysia and partner Asia Advanced Driving Academy (AADA) have announced the Red Bull Rookies team driver line-up for 2010, including a new effort from Brunei, slated to drive for the upcoming Sepang 1,000km race.
New to the team are two highly-talented ladies, Carmen Lim and Lee Hui Jing who both were among the top six participants of last season’s Red Bull Female Driver Search.
The line-up was introduced by the team manager, Kenvin Low, who is also the Chief Trainer at Asia
Advanced Driving Academy at an unveiling ceremony in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
Kenvin Low will be in Brunei from January 29 together with his veteran driver, Puteri Ayu Jasmin, a third driver of this female racing team who will play a bigger role as the team leader and mentor to the Rookies programme.
Both teams will make guest appearance at the Rampai Pagi Live at RTB studio at 8.30 am today (Friday, Jan 29).
Together with GreenCity Concept Sdn Bhd, Kenvin Low will shortlist the drivers to be called up for the defensive driving course training and trial to be held next week for the selection of Puteri’s teammate. All interested female drivers are encouraged to enrol at the Red Bull Booth.
From now until June, the rookies will start their intensive training with skilled trainers from AADA in preparation for the Sepang 1,000 km, which takes place from June 3 to 5 and the challenge is ahead for all four Red Bull Rookies, considering the high benchmark set for the team.
